Old books in oil colors. Gerd Renshof painted over a hundred still life's
with books as their main subject. He is the only artist known to specialize
in this subject. In his book still life's he uses painting techniques based
on those of the 17th century Dutch Masters, ensuring a solid and subtle
quality.
Most of his paintings are on his own initiative, but he will also take
commissions to portray special books for museums and collectors. Posters and
